Default IP4950, B200 error.

I printed 10 4x6 pictures then popped a printable CD in and got 6 flashing amber's.... thought I'd won the jackpot, on another occasion I got 10 flashing amber's alternatively with the green light, sometime during all this flashing up popped a B200 error on the screen..

So I'm being told all sorts of 'porkies', B200 excessive head voltage, 6 amber's inner door opened, flashing amber and green, front tray out of position.

Now my guess is the head is kaputt and the RAM not being cleared of the other two faults because of this. Would I be right and would it be worthwhile chancing a new print head?

If I understand correctly to do the repair with certainty Canon would change logic board as well as the head, obviously this just isn't worth it, since after that there's the ink waste pad to consider.
