Default Problem with a Canon BJC-8200

I have a 2 yr old BJC8200 and am having problems with pools of ink on the print head after a priming or head cleaning. Some of my colors have been contaminated and I've tried purging them by setting the print head on a wet paper towel and letting the ink ooze out. Then when I put the assembly back in the printer, it primnes and starts all over again. I'm talkin' lots of ink coming out.! I'm using the OEM BCI-6 inks too. If anyone has any info, please email me if you don't mind as I'm really trying to figure this one out. I've contacted Canon tech support, but with no luck yet. Thanks.
