Default EPSON Stylus Photo 960

Anyone used this machine?
Can you give an opinion of the 960 print vs. the 820s print quality please?
TIA

I am tryiing to figure out the main differences between the 2200 and the 960. i am told the 960 won't ship until late November. It seems like a great product, with 7 print cartridges and sounds like the same print mechanism as the 2200. The size seems like the only difference, but I would love some learned input. Does anyone know if the OS X.2 driver limitations will carry forward on the 960 (no borderless printing, no support for cut sheet feeder)

The Epson 2200 and the Epson 960 (950 outside North America) are totally different printers - the 2200 uses pigment inks and the 960 uses dye based inks.

You might want to look at this UK review of the 950. Note that the North American version does not have the direct CD print facility.

This is the only review of the Epson 950/960 that I have seen on a photo site. Note that this was a pre-production model and the CD print facility is not available on the North American version, the 960.

Default found a review of the epson 690

Cnet did a review of the Epson 690 and did not have a lot of nice things to say about. Check it out might change your mind and turn it to the Canon S900.

If you want a printer whose primary purpose is to print photos don't take any notice of reviews on Cnet or any other non-photo site. Read the photo site reviews or owners' comments (and there are European owners' comments available on the Epson 950/960).

I just read this review and I swear this review is an insult to the entire printing review industry. I'm very positve as usually cnet probably did'nt even open the box on the printer.
