I believe we have the first published review of the new Canon Pixma iP4000 printerand this is a beauty for just $149!
I was kind of shocked last year by how well the i860 did with just 3 colors but the new iP4000 even blows that away. So who really needs all those other ink tanks? And this little baby has top and bottom paper trays, a built-in duplexer, PictBridge port on the front and it's as fast as anything Canon's ever made. Check it out! ![]() |

Looks amazing.. Of course the flash presentation of how the duplex printing works has some interesting teasers on the front page for some future printers to look forward to...

Silly question time :?
Watching the duplexing demo the second page comes out 180deg to the 1st page (upside down), can I assume this isn't the case?. |

Wow, thats amazing for a 5 color. I have always been a huge fan of the i860, but the quality of this unit along with the features is jaw dropping.
I also noticed in the flash demo some other listed models that are not apparently released yet: iP5000, iP6000D, & iP8500 As the iP3000 & iP4000 replace the i560 & i860.. my guesses are: iP5000 replaces i960; iP6000D replaces i900D. No clue on the iP8500 though. Can't wait for this new line to be totally released! |

My guess ..
The 8500 might be likethe i990 that was to have an extra cartridge, they may even give it both the extra cartridges like the i9900. The one that I want is the iP4000R .. No cables is really attractive ... I do wishone modelwould do CDR/DVDR though... |

Regarding CD printing - Once again it seems the European/Asian models support this, but the US models do not.
WHY Canon?! WHY? Do you drop this feature in the US markets? |
