I am just about to buy this printer, and living in Spain, it is not always possible to get hold of Canon paper without ordering online. Has anyone used any other paper with this printer, and if so, what were the results. I would be grateful for any feedback as I am buying this later on today!!!

Thanks,

Freefly

I've tried the following non-canon paper on my i9900 with results listed:

Kodak Premium Plus Photo - poor quality - blotchy print - bright paper. Do not recommend Kodak Premium Plus Photo paper for Canon i9900!

HP Glossy Photo - medium quality prints - bright paper

Hammermill Glossy Photo - very good quality print butpaper is slightly darker than above.

Have you tried the Kodak Premum Plus Photo paper using the "transparency" or "Canon Photo paper plus" settings if they exist on your driver?

It's early yet since I recently got my i960 but I'm having good results using Kodak Premium Photo Paper (without the plus) using the Canon photo paper plus setting.

I have used Epson Matte Paper Heavyweight S041257 with very good results. This paper is flat ie: non glare.

Hi,

Does anyone have guidance on the "Media Types" in the Printing Prefs of the i9900 driver? In using Epson photo paper and Epson glossy film, what are the corresponding Media Types to select?

Thanks,

Bill
