The Canon brochure says that borderless printing is:
Quote:
Available using Photo Paper Pro, Photo Paper Plus Glossy, Photo Paper Plus Double Sided, Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss, Glossy Photo Paper or Matte Photo Paper in A4, 4 x 6", 5 x 7" & Credit Card sizes
Why can't it print borderless on A4 plain paper? Or can it? :?

Well, it looks like it will probably work (but you get a warning about it):

Quote:
Plain Paper is not recommended when Borderless is selected as Paper Type.

[snip] (prompts you for paper type, and plain paper is in the list)
Quote:
The document to be printed is enlarged so that it slightly extends off the paper. Print Quality may deteriorate or the sheet may be stained at the top and bottom depending on the type of media used.

Ah, that's good news.

The print quality should be OK towards the edges shoudln't it? And it won't damage the printer at all will it?
