Default Epson 1270 and Paint Shop Pro printing

Hi all:
I use an Epson 1270 printer and Paint Shop Pro 7.0 to print photos (from my Olympus c4040). Using the Epson Matte Heavyweight paper, what is the best print setting for people photos?
The Photoenhance option makes people look a little reddish.
The Custom and then Tone: Hard/Effect: Sharpness makes the photo colors look too bold, yet the normal settings look faded.
I don't want to have to individually alter each photo (if they already look good on my screen) and use a different print setting for each photo. I've wasted lots of paper and ink trying to get them to look good.
Any advice would be much appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance,
Digicath

You are encountering the same problem that many Epson owners are, the printer software requires several tweaks and a lot of wasted paper and ink to get it right...why does Epson have to make life difficult? My 820 is going back, I'll return to my HP Photosmart and ease of use...
