Default Canon Upgrade addition to S900&9000

Steve gave low marks to canon S900&9000 for B&W printing my guess is becasue Epson 2200 comes with a photo black cart just for this. I think canon could fix this if they would go the same route Epson does and bring out a photo black ink cart to change for B&W printing and just make on upgrade in the print drivers for S900&9000. What are the chances Canon doing this?

The Epson 2200 uses 7 ink cartridges including photo black and normal black (which can be exchanged for matte black when printing on matte paper), all of which are used for photo printing. Since Canon printers only have 6 catridge slots, it is clearly impossible to implement your suggestion.

Default think again on this

It would only be used for B&W printing which no color carts would be used i'm guessing. Or does even the Epson 2200 use some color it 's B&W printing to cover shades of B&W?
