Hoping someone could enlighten me on the Epson 1280 printer. Im looking for a printer that do 11x14. Reading up on the printer is very enticing. Hope someone has had some experience with this printer that can let me know if it is worth purchasing for topgrade sellable printing.

Thank you

Hi there

I have the european version, 1290. The same printer. It does produce great prints. The problem with it could be the fact that the prints aren't as long lasting as the 2200/2100 printer.

Another problem with it, in my eyes, is its problem to produce dark red colours, and that its B&Wprints arent as neutral as I would like. ALthough those are problems for almost allCMYK-printers.

I am myself waiting for the R1800, it will be a nice upgrade.

You should live in sweden, then you could buy my 1290 for some cheap money

:GThanks LC. Just today I was reading up on the R1800 myself. And the price I saw seems comparable to what I would pay for the older model and technology of the 1280(90). Boy you cant be to hasty in this game. Neither can you procrastinate to the last millisecond either:G

Hi, I have had a 1270 & a 1290 for a number of years, sell lots of print, first class. At the end of the day, given quality inks{ evencfs } and paper dont pass the 1290, Brian Ireland
