and epson wonder why more and more people are buying compatible cartridges :?

how can they get away with selling printers that use up so much ink just by switching the machine on or running a head clean?

my friend has just bought a canon printer that does the exact same job as the r200/r300 but without pumping out as much waste ink so looks like my next printer is gonna b a canon :-)

How did u remove the tube i cant see it :s
I removed the slang/hose. and gonna connect it to plastic medecin jar =)
And see if the generel error is removed. IF not ill try the 3 button solution.

because the canon doesn`t seem to run a head clean after printing half a dozen sheets,and also when its switched on it doesn`t pump out as much ink as the epson.

have u seen just how much ink is wasted when u do a head clean??? fair enough use some ink but at least leave some in the cartridge when your finished lol :-)

Well of course my operation was not successfully.
The orginal waste tank i did not empty is still connected to the firmware to alert that its full.

How do i solve this.. The t<nk is beneath everything..
Disconnect any cable to unplug the sensor shoud do it if there is any.

Any tipp is welcome

Epson isn't that cunning...

There isn't any sensor on the waste pads -- it's done by a not particularly accurate counter.

If the three-button solution doesn't work (I've not tried it, but I'm led to believe it does) then download the free SSC service utility and use that.

If you're referring to idle, I completely agree.
I now have the waste tank mod installed and look forward to painless printing from my R200.
Thanks to all the posters in this forum.

One question: I seem to recall reading a post about recycling the waste ink into the black cart. (It might have been some other forum/thread.)

What do you folks think of that idea?
