well, it's true that the print head moves very quickly but like paul_D said, you can discern the difference if you move the photo to the middle of an A4 page for example.

However, i can c no reason y your's would use the bci-3bk tp print when set to pppro, that's kinda strange.

Here's an example.

If you look closely at the blacks in the attached image, you can c that blacks using bci-3ebk pigmented is a lot more dense (right image) compared to the one using dye-ink (left).

Btw, this was printed on epson matte heavyweight paper.
