:sad:I have a Canon i850 which I use to print photos. Until recently is has produced fine pictures. However, today I printed a picture and teh picture looked like the ink didn't dry. I cleaned the and aligned the nozzles, and same thing. I tried printing on a plain paper, and it printed fine. I check all settings, and they are all correct. What could be causing this?

Is the paper in upside down?

The paper is in the correct way. Glossy side is facing the proper way as well.

Just to be clear, are you printing on the glossy side or the matte side of the paper? What paper are you using?

printing on the glossy side. I am using HP glossy paper. It seems to be almost too slick for the ink to adhere.

I used to use HP paper in my i950 and had the same problem with the print driver set to any of the photo paper settings.
I experimented and set the paper to plain paper and results are great, doesn't seem to lay down too much ink.

Kodak Premium picture paper is the same, their web site suggests the use of the plain paper selection.

You might also check your print driver under maintenance, custom settings, drying time, set it to short if not already set.
