I have a clogged i960 head. It was only the black ink, but after searching for ideas on the net and using compressed air, soaking the base of the head in denatured alcohol, and wiping with Windex, I now get nothing from the printer! This is probably a lost cause, so I'm up for any ideas. Many suggest "soak the head in hot water/solution" - does that mean to immerse the ENTIRE head or just the nozzle end? After soaking overnight, I'm wondering if my cartridges themsleves are now dried, though I put in a new Black to no avail. I don't really want to put a whole new set in. How do I "preserve" teh current catridges while unclogging? HELP!?!

Contact Canon and you can buy a new printhead for around $60.00.

I thought Canon gives a lifetime warranty on their printheads.

$60 for a new one is not worth it. For maybe $20 more you buy a whole new i960 these days, and that comes with new ink!
