We have a new ip8500, the thing makes great prints. We also have a bunch of different papers with weights like 44lb(epson matte heavyweight), 68lb(epson premium glossy) ands some 71lb(kodak). Before discovering in the manual that canon reccommends not using paper over 28lb, we made prints with all these papers. And the results were fantastic. Does anyone else use paper heavier then the 28lb posted maximum?

I have used 270gramms paper without any problems, but only via the paper sheet feeder in the back, NOT the tray underneath the printer.

As far as I am aware the manual states that for the sheet feeder paper up to 280gr. is supported, but I have no clue what that means in lbs (but I'm sure google does:-))
