Default hp 7350 for B/W...follow up from a few days ago.

I asked a question a few days back regarding the hp 7150/7350/7550 printers for use in b/w. I received no responses so I took the plunge blind. I got the 7350, and found that the color output is very good. It's the printer I thought I bought about 6 years ago. So far (about four 8x10's and 15 or so 4x6's I'm very pleased with the printer. As for the B/W...it does a fairly good job but not as good as the color. There seems to be some color bleed (magenta in one case, and cyan in another). It will be acceptable for my use, though. The only complaint I have about the printer is the card reader is very slow compared to a stand alone reader. I wish now that I had picked up the 7150 and saved the $50. Since I do the majority of preprint touch up in photo shop, the ability to print from the card is not that valuable to me....fwiw, jm

What operating system are you using for your 7350 ? I'm using 98se and having hang up problem when the computer boots up and the printer is plug in the USB port.
Wondering how your printer is doing.

Its a reasoably good printer its the cost that can kill ya. Consider buying your ink on ebay where it should be significantly cheaper. Also I think gibson will be able to provide you a resource to purchase refills for it.

I order prepaid refill mailers from www.printpal.com. They cost $15.99 and they always provided excellent quality.
