What do you consider as the BEST photo-printer at this moment?

. A4 format and for photo roll papers (panorama's)

. Price is not that important

Where can I findtests on the internet?

How big a panorama are you talking about? The only a4 I know of that is equiped to do a4 and roll paper well is the epson r800, and from my limited experence they are a tad fickle. http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_...pson_r800.html
But very nice accurate realistic colors out of the box.

While this is the a3 model, some nice contrast between it and the a4.

But I have a hard time thinking many panaramas on anything with 13ml carts... retro fit with external ink tanks should be considered. Nice printer... pigments with little bronzing and a nice clear layer... though a nice urathane layer does the trick as well.

But i've not used this for anything above and beyond 360mm, a size just about any a4 will do with a roll. Any reason it has to be a4 and not a3 or perhaps a wider model? You start looking at the HP A2 and above and your cost per page really shrinks.

My r200 experence was also limited to 360mm

I seem to remember the canon consumer grade drivers where locked there and abouts of 600mm... ah it's 594mm. I'm not sure if you can escape this limitation under linux and turboprint. this I just checked on the ip3000 and mp760.
