Can some body tell me how to reset "the waste tank full " warning in Pixma IP 5000.

I serched in google and this forum but could not find it.

These codes are for a 960, but they seem to be the same for most Canon printers.

Wouldn't it be better to open the printer and empty out the waste tank first or have you already done that and now need to reset the printer ?
