Just noticed they had 64 bit drivers and apps up for the MP780.

Yes, that's been out for a while, at least a month. I don't know if it'll work for the mp750/mp760 or the ip4000 let alone the other pixma models. I tried the ip4200 driver on my ip3000 and much to my shock v1.90 doesn't reconize my printer, which sounds like a silly thing to try but I noticed I accidently installed my ip3000 v1.80b software for my mp760 and it worked just fine, better than fine, even displayed all the proper pictures for the printer and everything.
