I'm trying to decide between the 5200 and the 6600D. I don't really care about the card reader or LCD on the 6600D. I'm concerned with the photo quality between the two. Steve comments in his 5200 review that he wonders why he bothers with an 8 ink printer when the 4 ink 5200 provides prints just as good. Is the same going to hold true for the 5200 vs the 6600? Is there going to be any benefit incurred relative to 2 extra inks and the consumable costs of them?

Outside of photo quality, how is the general color text quality of the 6600D relative to the 5200?

These two models are so new that I doubt anyone has done any side to side testing... yet. For the time being your best option is to go to your local shop with a pictbridge compatable camera and a pack of your favorite or the reccomended paper and print off some shots... most shops are agreeable so long as you leave the prints there.
