hi i am new to the forum.

i have just bought a canon ip4000 as my canon bjc 6100 stopped working.

The ip4000 was an end of line model and did not come with the CD tray or manual.

i was wondering where i could get both from?

The manual should be on the CD disc with the printer in pdf format so you'll need adobe to open it, insert CD and explore the contents.

The U.S. versions do not come with a CD tray has the CD printing is disabled so you may need to check this.

Knightcrawlers keeps the service manual, the CD printing manual, and the software on his filefront site. These are things you can not download from Canon UK but rather from Canon HK and Canon TW.

The manual it self can be downloaded from Canon.co.uk under support.

If you prefer to buy them call +44(0) 1869331741

The CD-tray i'm told can be had directly from Canon UK or from an authorized service centre.

The part numbers are as follows

QL2-0605-000 CDR TRAY ASS'Y W/ CDR PRINTING - what you need
QA4-1117-000 TRAY, CD SUB W/ CDR PRINTING {aka 120mm to 80mm adapter) - what you might want
QM2-1239-000 INNER COVER WITH ROLLERS - what you probally already have.

I don't have any more specific details as i'm not in the UK, but this should be enough info for you to follow up on. Ordering the tray from canon from my understanding is the best deal. We're talking under 10 quid from what i'm told.
