Default How do I use color profiles

Hello all,
thru a web page I was able to download severl color profiles for different paper I use with my Canon s9000. The problem is I don't know how to bring them up when I print. Under the color management tab, it doesn't show the downloaded profiles. HELP

You can take advantage of profiles only if your software allows you to. You do not specify the profile file in your print driver (as you were trying to do).

For example, I know for a fact that QImage supports profiling and in that software there's a place that allows you to specific the profile file name and location.

I have a Canon S820 and the profile files give me some very accurate colors. You need to find a print program that uses profiles.

In Photoshop 7, go to Image>Mode>Assign Profile

Click on the Profile tab, and pull down the printer profile for you printer.

Good luck!
