I`d prefer to buy a IP5200 instead of the IP5000 which would deliver better quality prints ? would you agree ?

The problem is the price of the ink....are there going to be cheaper third party inksfor the new Canon IP printers and whenbecause i print a lot and cost is one of my main concerns?

If i find out that those cheaper inks aren`t going to be available for the IP5200.i`ll have to make my choice fast because it`s getting harder to find an IP5000

I use the ip5000 I can't comment on the 5100, but thought they where pretty much the same.

If you intend to use non OEM inks, one thing I've picked up in various NGs is to use a formulated ink, stay well clear of 'universal inks', these are inks made specifically for that type of print head.

You just can't have the same ink for a Epson which is a inkjet and a Canon whicxh is a bubble jet, the delivery system are totally different.
