This printer prints on my CD's really well. But the problem is with injet. If you get it wet it will wipe off. What can you put on these CD's to protect them from being messed up later?

you can use a spray on varnish specifically for the job , they call it a "fixative", sold in Matt and Glossy, sold bydisc /compatable inkjet suppliers.

Have used the Matt , works very well , but care must be taken to protect the recorded surface when spraying and apply as 2-3 very light coats spaced apart, from a distance of 6 inches.

Then wait at least 24 hours for full dry before touching.

But I am not using as a general everytime event.........only if you want a disc that is likely to be handled frequently (by children etc). On plain discs it enhances the picture nicely..........on silver printables it is really striking..... gives a lot of depth.

You can rub your finger over it with impunity ......which I think is what you are after.

A more readily available alternative is "Krylons Workable Fixatif" which is sold at most art supply stores to protect artwork from smearing, smudging, etc. From what I can tell its the same stuff (a lacquer) and I have used it on my DVDs from my R200. Its like 6 bucks.
