:?is the 5200 worth $50 more. seems to be a little faster

There are quite a few threads on this subject on this forum.

Short answers are that the ip5200 is quite a bit faster in printing and has a printhead with almost double the number of noozles. There seems to be little evidence that the output can be seen to be visably better on the ip5200. But over the life of the printer the extra $50.00 is not much money in my opinion.

So if the user does value speed spend the extra $50. If speed is not that big of a factor save the $50. But if you want to save big bucks, be able to hassle free refill your own cartridges or use readily available third party cartridges, get a one generation back Canon ip5000 and boycott the Canon chips.---or wait until a way is found around the chips.
