Nothing, most likely.

You never dismantle and remove part of any electronic device whilst it's turned on.

The head electronics are probably toast.

Hi,

I have a Epson R210, it is impossible to align my black head, I can never get a perfect rectangle during alignment. the rest of the color heads are fine.

Black text in my print out are poor they appear jagged, color texts are good.

I also have banding problem while doing the black head alignment, but nozzle check doesn't reveal it is clog.

Why must the black head be align separatly from the rest of the color heads?

Best regards

Alignment marks exist in the form of red reflectors that are hard to spot. Not seeing those will result in no printing, and blinking cryptic lights. I forget the number.

That being said... disassembly of this printer is not for the faint of heart. Assuming it's the same as the r200 there is no frame to speak of, so reassembly requires a jig of the right size. I imagine it's possible to remove the lid and sidebits without removing the base. It's not designed to be disassembled.

There is a man named "Arthur Entlich" who's pretty much the resident expert on Epsons. He offers a free cleaning manual via e-mail which details how to clean the heads while the head is still in the printer.

You might want to pose the question there just in case there are folks who have more detailed info than I, for example if your problem is alignment. If the light is blinking you might share how many blinks it does... note long and short. I don't know the codes but someone else might.

If your in the states, the r200 is offered as a referb on the Epson website for $60.00.
