I have tried this several times. Although i do it slightly different.

Windex drops on the ink pad...so theres a little puddle..then use little ear-swabs to dry up a little excess...then turn on printer let it rest in pads then turn it off for a night or two and then it will do a clean cycle when it comes back on

this however did not fix my issue..it made it worse ;/ ive tried it before but thanks for the suggestion

Ah yeah.. that'd sort of confirm that the problem was actually due to the ink drying to the actual outlets...

I'd see if the cleaning manual that Arthur Entlich provides might offer some clues... If nought else something that could help "scrape" loosened ink off might seem to be the way to go...

Well what im gonna do is after i get my r200 refurb i ordered...im gonna dissasemble the r300 and see where it leads me...I dont think it is ink that is dried up however. I think its an adjacent leak in the nozzle heads like Idle suspects.

We will see..I have learned alot about Epson's since ive had one since ive had tons of problems. So atleast i will have something i can take apart and learn more about

You cant bat a epson refurb for basically 19$. Since the cartridges come with it thats 40$ there and free shipping :0
