i have a problem with my cyan ink not printing out correctlyas it seems to be missing afew print bands here and there and some off the lines are not at an angle like the rest of the print when doing a print test.

ive tried to clean the usual way with a print head clean to no avail, i have a ciss system installed andall the other inks are fine.

i was going to try and clean with a syringe but im not quite sure where exactly to squirt the fluid , do it put the syringe on the top of the pierceing nipple (does the inkflow thru that ?) or do i go beyond that and squirt it into the bottom of the cartridge holder

The piercing nipple is a tube -- the ink feeds through it.

Using a syringe to pump cleaning fluid through is pretty much a last resort -- most clogs can be cleared by just putting a few drops of fluid (blue Windex or other ammonia-based glass cleaner) on the parking pads and leaving stand for up to overnight.

If pushing cleaner through the heads be very careful not to put too much pressure on -- the heads are not particularly robust.

It's also possible your cyan cartridge either isn't full or has an air lock -- I'd try priming it (pull ink through from the bottom outlet until you're sure no air is left inside) before using pressure methods on the head.

You can put the ink you pull through back in the CIS bottle -- make sure your syringe is clean...
