Can anyone help me?

I have had a problem with my R300 printing pics and normal text where there is black ink marks on either side of the borders of whatever i am printing.

I have tried cleaning the heads but does not help.

Please help as i have 5 children and want to print pics quite often as you can imagine.

Cheers

Warby

Hi warby wonder if your problem is just the paper edges are turned up a little and they are wiping the print heads, try curling them downwards and see if that helps

It may also be that you have an accumulation of ink under the heads that isn't wiping off completely -- the clearance over the paper (particularly heavyweight photo paper) is quite small.

If making sure the paper isn't curling doesn't fix it, try laying a strip of clean, lint-free cloth along the printer bed, then move the heads over it, pick up the ends and pull it back and forth a few times.

You might start with a strip damped (not saturated) with blue Windex or other ammonia-based glass cleaner, then finish off with a dry piece.
