When I bought the printer new over 3 years ago, I printed about a dozen pages. I would like to see if I can get it to work again. Can I assume that the print head is dried out? Should I soak the heads in something before I turn on the printer and install the drivers?

Short answer Big AL--almost certainly yes.

For instructions on printhead cleaning I recommend the "nifty stuff forums"
Just google the name without the quotes. They have extensive threads on printhead cleaning.

With all the new chipped printers out there, any non-chipped printer is well worth saving.

Now the printer is working I guess. I think I remember why I didn't use the printer. Paper would not feed into the printer without help. I have tried normal 20 and 24 lb. and it still needs a helping hand to get the paper into the printer. Thank you for your help.
