I print DVD insert covers with my i960. I would like to know how could I save on ink for JUST my inserts and still get okay print covers. I use red river paper for my inserts.

If you are refering to buying non-Canon ink to use on inserts I think you will be fine. I currently switched to non-Canon ink to use in my i860 for printing just regular documents (we no longer print photos with it) and it seems to be working fine.
