Default Epson 1290 black&whit

Hi

I am trying to print black and white pictures with my espon 1290, I use MIS ink with their CFS. But my prints on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper aren't black&white, either too much magenta, or too much cyan.. or too much green.

Are there ICC-profiles that correct this? Or can I fix it with simple settings? I have searched ICC-profiles but non are useable, most of them are terrible.

Please help

hmmmm. I could tell you with Epson ink but with another brands ink I dunno.

I think what you want to do is called piezography BW

the best Link I can point you to is this one which was posted a few months back. http://www.inkjetmall.com/

They have all sorts of things that allow you to do B&W with the 1290.

My R&D-team ( ) have discovered that fantastic black and white photos can be printed, using the Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper-setting with sat +2, con +2 cyan -1, mag -4, yel -1. (not printed on premium glossy though)

However you can only print 1440dpi with that setting (and YES, 2880 _IS_ a great improvement over 1440 despite what everyone says). So the research continues to find a neutral black and white output with 2880-setting.

As they say, TO BOLDLY GO WHERE... (or was that another subject?)
