Default Best paper w/Canon photo inkjet?

I recently purchased a Canon S530D photo printer and do not know what kind of paper to use in it. The printer came with a sample of the Canon 4x6 Photo Glossy Pro paper. The results on that paper look pretty nice. But when I went shopping for some at my local retailer, I nearly fell over when I looked at the price!

I also bought some Burlington 4x6 Photo GLossy photo paper at Best Buy. It was much cheaper than the Canon brand paper. But the results are definitely not as nice. I can see "banding" on the paper, especially on people's faces. And I can also see blotchiness in the hair of people in my photos. I did not notice these same effects on the Canon paper.

So what paper do you recommend for a Canon printer? And are there any recommended settings that coincide with the paper? And is there a recommended place to buy this paper cheaper than retail? I am still in disbelief at how much photo paper costs. I can get my prints developed for less per print at Wal-Mart and Costco than the bare paper costs!

Try looking at the Epson Premium Glossy papers which you can get for 17 bucks shipped to your door for a 50 pack. Go to http://www.buy.com
