With a hearing this complex, the arguments will go on for quite some time, and the court will then have to take more time to issue the ruling.

It will be interesting and possibly lucrative to find this out, as I have had three qualifying printers registered, giveng me a potential $135 hanging on the outcome.

thanks for a reply - I was under the opinon that settlement was a done deal except for the lawyers cut - if so there isn't going to be much left for us - maybe $.28 per printer

My girlfriend, and now wife, got one of the epson 82s when she bought her Mac.
It quit printing about 6 months after the warranty was up. I have a background in electronics assembly, testing and light design, so I took it apart to see what was wrong. There's more wrong with this design than the ink cartridges. And if you are still using one you need to know something. The black ink waste tray, which is used to remove ink when it is in its head cleaning mode drains in to a series of holding tanks in the printer's base. These tanks appear to be designed to fill and then overflow from one tank to another tank and so on. There is absorbent foam material lining these tanks so the ink doesn't spill out when you move the printer, but anyone should be able to figure out the eventual problem of this design once all the waste tanks are filled up. I'm glad it failed. She had white carpet.
