i have approx 125 photos I need to scan ASAP

I have an Epson 6600 all in one that is somewhat slow, and scanning quality isn't great. I also have a Canon 20D. Would I be better off taking pictures of the pictures using a tripod, to get them in a digital workflow faster? If so, what settings (f/stop, etc) are best suited for this type of archiving?

The end product is a DVD, not a large print or anything, so resolution isn't of extreme importance.

Thanks all

lynne
