I'm 7-day free trialing Smugmug now and it's great. I like being able to share photos without my friends/family having to register and be marketed to. Also love ability to view slideshows fullscreen. Is there any other service out there like this without fees? Or less expensive annual fees. Just thought I'd check around before signing up for it.

Been using www.clarkcolor.com, which has decent editing tools and print prices, but people have to register. I know Shutterfly is free, but no fullscreen slideshows. -D

Looks great. Have you seen Smugmug, and if so, what do you like better about Fotki? Thanks. -D

Photobucket looks good, but only provides 1MB picture files for the free account. How much for the paid membership? How's this one compare to the Fotki & Smugmug? Any significant differences? Fotki appears to offer more editing features?

http://www.flickr.com/ has both free accounts and paid "pro" accounts.
It is owned by Yahoo.

Has anybody tried out all of these (or more than one) of these services? I'm free-trialing them...it's a bit daunting. smugmug is a bit more expensive. So far, I think Fotski seems to be the best site in terms of layout, features, print pricing, can do videos (not sure if that's for the basic/free service level?). Photobucket, I wasn't thrilled with the registration process or the layout/interface. The Australian service fotopic.net seems decent, haven't dug into it much. Things I'm looking for are:

1. Ability to play slideshows/photos full screen.
2. My guests DO NOT have to register and be marketed to
3. Ability to share videos.
4. Good print quality and pricing.

If I can get this without paying an annual fee that's great.

One thing that I never thought about to exploring other site, was selling photographs on the Internet. Most of these, apparently, you have to pay to join as an affiliate and share the profit with the hosting site..which seems reasonable. Anybody doing this? Anybody making any money? Or at least covering the cost of the subscription with the profits?

Thanks.
