Version 2.0 of the TLR Sharpening Toolkit is available for free download.

New features in 2.0:

Color coded layers make it easier to identify sharpening layers.

Support grayscale images in the same action set for luminosity edge masks, creative sharpening, and output sharpening.

Localized Contrast Enhancement: aggressive USM settings for Amount and Radius boost contrast. Credit for the idea goes to Michael Reichmann @ http://www.luminous-landscape.com. Works great for reducing haze in landscapes, etc.

As with all of my resources, this is a free download:

Feel free to look around my Digital Darkroom and download anything else that
might help with your digital photography.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Mitch

A couple of other new features:

It now behaves well when actions are viewed in Button mode. Names are unique and color-coded. No more buttons without an attached action.

A new PDF ReadMe file that explains how to use the kit, describes the actions, and includes links to other resources.

Enjoy!

Mitch

Mitch, I really have to applaud you for making these high quality actions available for free on your website. To be sure, Fred Miranda sells similar actions but yours seems to be as good in many of the cases. Thank you!

In using your sharpening actions I have hit upon a snag which I hope you have seen and can suggest the solution for. Let's say I start the action called "Output USM: Dual Contour". While the action is running I will get an error message dialog from the PSCS actions interpreter stating:

"The object "action "Output USM: Single Contour" of set "TLR Sharpening Toolkit" is not currently available"

I then have the option to Continue or Stop. Either way, the action does not completely correctly.

Have you seen this? Any suggestions?

You were the first to report this.

Sure enough, it was a bug. I fixed it. You can download the new version from my site.

The About action will read 2.0a for the most recent version, in case you wan to make sure.

Thanks for reporting the problem!

Please, forward any other problems, queestions, suggestions, etc.

Cheers,

Mitch

Is there any way a similar version can be made that works in Elements3?

Will this work for Elements 3.0 as well?

Thanks again for the great actions and PDF tutorials.

How do you feel the action set compares to your script Pro Sharpening?
