Hi

Iwork in a research lab where we want to store pictures of protein gels in a diogital archive, we have a dimage d7 camera and the plan was to hook it up to a MAC with photoshop cs2. Can you help me getting started on how to control the camera (take pictures) via photoshop

any help appreciated

If you just want to know how to get pictures from the camera to the mac, that is done via the USB cable and the DiMage software that came with the camera, and the included documentation should tell you what you need to know.

If you are attempting to have photoshop control the camera and tell it when to take the picture, that is going to be difficult to impossible. The Dimage 7 cameras have a remote cable which could conceivably be connected to an interface card, but I don't know if PS would then be able to control it.

Good information on the Dimage 7 series can be found in the User's Web pages links from Steve's home page.
