Default Epson R300 driver problem

Hello there.

I've had an Epson R300 for a few years and run it with no problems whatsoever on Windows XP.

I recently was given a laptop running Vista and the XP driver apparently has known compatibility issues, so I went to Epson's website and can't find a driver for Vista there. They have the Print CD software for Vista but not the printer driver itself - as far as I can see.

Has anyone had this problem and if so did you find an answer?

TIA

Not sure about the R300, but I have updated my R1800 driver for W7, and the detailed info said it was for Vista as well, so you may have the same situation with the R300. Also, make sure you check to see if it is 32 or 64-bit driver.

Thanks for that.

The driver is indeed included in Vista - not as much functionality as I am used to but useable nonetheless. And the PrintCD application also works despite being told it wouldn't.

happy happy happy!

thanks again.
