Why do all of my prints have a magenta cast, even when printing B&W only I still get a magenta cast. I've tried loads of different papers and only managed to get about two decent B&W prints. I've tried loads of different profiles and still Magenta. What is it with this bl**dy colour. I know about metamerism but these are all just magenta.

Well I think I've cracked it.

After some extensive greybalancer work I've managed to remove nearly all of the magenta cast. Now I'm getting near darkroom quality B&W. What amazed me was that when I switched off greybalancer from previous trials the effects remained and I think this is why I had such trouble with the magenta cast. Wierd, cus once grey balancer was disabled the changes I made with it should have dissappeared.

Anyway, I'm 99% there just need to do some very fine tweaking and I think I'm done.

Thanks for all the replies.

Just kidding.

That works for you guys that got the graybalancer. Epson did not see fit to make it available to NorthAmerica.

A RIP package seems to work well forprinting without a color cast.

I was looking today at Image Print V6, it's supposed to be really good, but then for $495.00 you would expect a better performance than the included driver. Does anyone do a cheaper RIP driver.?

Epson makes one speciffically for the 2100/2200 for about 300$

There are a lot of RIPs out there just none of them are cheap
