What DPI does the Fuji Frontier digital mini-lab want? If it want's 300 dpi, and i have a 1600x1200 image, I can't printa full 4x6 without upping the size of the image, right?
Will the machine do that for me, or do I need to use Photoshop first, before I take it to the photo lab? |

Jeff,
Yes, the Fuji Frontier prints @ 300dpi and my understanding is that it will adjust all pics to be printed to that. I like to PShop color adjust and crop to a 4 x 6 @ 300 ppi to compose my pics properly (because if you don't the Fuji will automatically take a little off the top & bottom) before I burn it to a CD-RW to take to the minilab to print w/o adjustment. My 2272 x 1704 rez pics end up both smaller & larger than the original file, depending on how much I crop and the fact that I save it in the lowest compression / highest quality in PS. Hope this helps...Harvey
