My Gamma seems to be ok, but all photos come out too dark, it's driving me nuts !!!! I've set RGB on both monitor and printer, do I need to do something else ?????, I had sRGB on monitor and it did not seem to matter.

Thank You,

wll

Have you checked for updated drivers?

Just a thought, because when I "upgraded" to SP2 on Windoze XP, all my prints went dark, and I was unable to find a satisfactory work around, and basically had to wait until Epson posted new drivers.

Hi.

Here's a link to a set of free ICM's i've had excelent results from.

http://wandb.com/icc.htm

download the following:

http://wandb.com/profiles152/cgp152.zip

Unzip and install the s9k in the windows icm color directory.

The goto your printer config and set the color profile to S9K as default.

In Photoshop set your print output to UNTAGGED file,

Profile to: ICM to S9K

Intent to: Absolute Calculated

This ICM works on canon Pixma 3000, 4000, 8500...

On either cheap copy paper or hq glossy of jsut about any type.

The output will be very close to that of qimage and the original on screen image.

In Qimage just set the monitor to Generic SRGB, and the printer's icm to S9k. Very nice output.

Enjoy.

P.S> The output from Photoshop will still be a tiny bit dark. However there is a remarkable improvement with the S9K ICM.
