Big goof on my part... I shot photos with my new Nikon D50 and the print resolution was set to fine...but small size. don't know how that happened or if it got changed from my original setting of fine-large. Now I want to know just how large of prints I dare print. Can I go 8x10 and still have a good quality or do I need to stay below that in size and what about cropping.... Wow.... all that work of taking photos at my first photo shoot and have this tragedy happen!!! live and learn I guess.

Edit - just saw the title of the thread. You are looking at around 150 PPI for an 8 X 10. That isn't great but not terrible. You can smooth it out a little by doing an upsample in an image editor. Even Irfanview with the Lanczos filter does a decent job of an upsample.
