Default What's the big deal about Qimage?

Trying out the trial download. What's the big deal about Qimage that my regular programs don't offer. Elements 2 and PhotoSuite 4?
So far I don't see an advantage.

Default Try A Test

I have to admit I didn't see a difference either. Then I took a picture and printed it in PhotoShop and then in Qimage. I asked a dozen people which they liked best. Almost all said, "they are both the same". but when I followed up and said they had to pick one, they invariably chose the Qimage shot.

Just ask yourself if Elements or PhotoSuite can:

- Optimize print quality, even for large prints using high quality interpolation.
- Optimize print sharpness via smart sharpening
- Auto arrange prints of different sizes to minimize paper usage
- Offer full color management via ICC profiles
- Allow you to save/load printer setups/ICC settings so that paper/driver/ICC settings are never confused
- Allow image filtering without modifying the original or saving copies
- Print posters the size of billboards
- Easily print contact sheets
- Perform batch conversions, resizing, filtering
- Offer lifetime free upgrades

... just to name a few examples.

Even if you don't think you need any of the above features, most people still use Qimage simply because you can always be sure that you'll get the best print quality possible with no additional effort or tweaking by you... the user. If you look close enough, Qimage can produce better print quality than other software even for small (4x6) prints. When you start printing larger, like 8x10, 11x14, 20x30, etc. the margin widens and the difference in print quality between Qimage and other software becomes obvious.
