I had been printing on an Epson 1800 using an earlier Pro version of Qimage and a custom profile for that printer and my paper. I always set up the printer driver to match the profile and had a lot of success. My CRT monitor was calibrated regularly with an OPTIX colorimeter. I recently changed to a more capable computer and an EIZO graphics monitor. The monitor was calibrated using the EIZO proprietary software and the OPTIX colorimeter. At the same time I upgraded to the current version of Qimage Pro. When I ran a test print with this combination, the resultant print was slightly lighter than an original that I had produced with the earlier combination of equipment. I didn't make any changes to the image, just printed it. I used the same custom printer profile that I had used in the past and ensured that the settings in the driver were also correct. Any suggestions where I might start looking to resolve this situation. I'm assuming that the new monitor profile wouldn't affect anything because I didn't modify the image. So the problem may be in how this latest version of Qimage is treating the profile.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Later versions of Qimage treat the profile exactly the same. The problem here might be that you are now using a different batch of paper or ink. Or that you've updated your print driver since you last printed. Any of those things can create the need to make new profiles.
