Hello. I don't seem to be able to print with .5 inch borders on each side of my photos - no matter what I do they are different widths on the sides and are different on the top and bottom as well. For example, I tried printing at 8x10.5 on 8.5x11 paper and that didn't work. I also tried printing borderless at the full 8.5x11 size and inserting ".5" in the border option, and that didn't work either. My printer driver is set to borderless printing and I can print a borderless photo if I want. Autocropping is set to "on" and I have tried both optimal and centered placement.

I should add that I am using the HP B9180 printer.

Can anyone make any suggestions?

Thanks,

Peter

Thank you. I will try playing around with and without the borderless setting on my printer driver. What is frustrating is that I was getting even borders until recently when I must have changed a particular setting. I read in someone's post on the Internet that they had a similar problem, reinstalled the software, and it fixed the issue, so I am going to try that too (I sent in the email request for the new Qimage 2008 password yesterday).

I recently switched to the Mac, so I am using Qimage on my old PC laptop for printing. I thought I could use Qimage on my Mac with an emulator like Fusion or Parallels, but unfortunately I discovered that all of the copies of Windows XP that are on my three other computers in the house are OEM versions that came with the computers and cannot be installed on my Mac. Now I am faced with the decision of whether to buy Windows XP and an emulator just to use Qimage on my Mac. I am trying to use Lightroom to print but thus far I really prefer the output and control from Qimage.

Either in your print driver or your printing software, there should be a way to adjust the origin point of the print. If the borders are consistently off, then this should allow you to adjust them to be the same.
