Looking for some help to speed up Qimage. Running the Pro edition of Qimage

Here is my set up:

I have a camera connected to my Macbook (running bootcamp) using Canons Remote Capture and files are being saved to a folder on my hard drive.

I am watching the folder in Qimage and deciding which images to print. While I do so Qimage constantly rebuilds thumbnails over and over again slowing down the whole process.

Anybody having problems with this?

Would switching to the studio version of Qimage make any difference?

Thanks,
Keith

Pro versus Studio edition won't make any difference for this. If the thumbnails are rebuilding, it means that something keeps changing the file date/time stamp or the file size on the images that are in the folder that Qimage is watching. The only thing I can think of is that you might want to check the options on Canon's Remote Capture software to see if there are any options enabled that would cause it to keep changing files that have already been saved (updating them for some reason). Qimage checks the file size and date/time (modified date) to determine when it needs to rebuild thumbs, so the only way they would rebuild is if something is constantly fiddling with the files.

I've installed Leopard and now everything runs smoothly and without problems.
