Hi, I am a long time user of Qimage Pro, and up to now it was always to a printer. I have a situation where I need to print to a jpeg file and have that file printed by an online service. I'm basically using the power of Qimage to arrange some portrait shots that will then fit (2 rows, 3 columns) on a 4x6" print.

I have already setup my queued photos and arranged them to fit on a 4"x6" output print.

Do I now use "Print to file" (apply the settings I want/eg PPI and JPEG) followed by "Print..." and supply a filename?

I have actually just done this, and it seems to be the way, but I'd like to know if there's a better way from the experts on this forum.

Thanks,

Yatmandu

Sounds like you are doing it right. The theory behind print to file is that you can use all the power of printing yet send the results to a file (like a JPEG). So it sounds like you are doing it right. There's an example in the help under "learn by example" that shows you how to prepare files for online printing and that would take you through it too.
