New to Qimage and am getting to find way around slowly.

I chose this after reading good reviews and after trialing many other programs. Seems great so far and congrats to Mike Chaney... you're a clever bloke!

Unlike all the other filter adjustments I've tried on an image, it doesn't seem to make any difference at all to the purple fringing when checking the 'fringing' box in the edit mode.

The only way to have any impact is to remove it by selecting/reducing magentas & blues in colour section. But this is tedious.

I must be missing something. Is there some fringing adjustment tool that alters the levels affecting the auto fringing check box?

Terry

The purple fringing filter in Qimage was designed to remove purple fringing caused by older/bad color demosaicing (color interpolation) schemes, not the thicker and more obvious purple fringing you get from chromatic distortions caused by lenses. I plan to update the purple fringing filter in the future to cover these more "extreme" cases though.
