I have used Qimage (currently vers 2008.213) for many years with no problems. Just in the last week I have I have started experiencing magenta hued prints using Epson Premium Luster, CS3, XP Pro.

Qimage color management settings:

Input-Adobe rgb1998
My own Monitor profile done with LaCie Blue Eye Pro
Printer Output-Enabled
Printer Profile-Pro38PLPP
Rendering-Perceptual
Enabled ICC

Epson Printer Set-up:

Media Type-PLPP
Color-Color
Print Quality-Speed
Mode/Custom-No Color adjustment

When I print preview the prints have a magenta appearance. When I print, the prints have a magenta cast. Prior to this I have not had any problems. I have removed and reinstalled both Qimage and my Epson 3800 printer. No change. This condition occurs on both my lightroom dedicated desktop and my laptop. When I print from CS3 color rendition looks correct. When I print from Qimage using the printer's color control I don't have a problem.

Does anyone have any advice on how to cure this?

I'd have to know more about the profile (might want to e-mail it to me) and also your CS3 settings. You told me the Qimage color management settings but not your CS3 color management settings for the printer. Qimage and CS3 will produce identical color as long as the driver and program are set the same. The only time they render color that is different is if there is something wrong with the profile itself. If there's corruption in the profile like extremely jumpy look up tables, CS3 and Qimage may handle that differently.

Also, always make sure to make actual test prints (like you said you were doing) because the print preview is completely unreliable when it comes to color. The only thing the preview in the print driver is good for is deciding whether or not the correct image is printing and it is fitting on the page like you thought it should.
