Is this a Qimage or a more general problem?
When printing (downloaded) ref. pictures they look on paper just as on my calibrated monitor.
"home made" pictures print too dark with a reddish cast (not that much I must say)
Same picture saved in PSD, JPG, TIF format
The result with TIF is better but not optimal
sRGB,aRGB makes no difference

There are simply too many variables to come up with an answer based on the information supplied. What kind of camera were the pictures from? What printer are you using? What paper? Are you using a profile for the printer/paper/ink?

Mike,
Now I convert all pictures to TIF format and give a small cyan & intensity boost in the Canon pro9000 printer driver with very good results.
It seems Qimage does not like the Adobe PSD format.
BTW
setup:
color management by application
original Ilford profiles

Unfortunately no one but PhotoShop likes PSD's. Even Adobe's own LightRoom can't read them because Adobe hasn't shared their PSD format specs since PhotoShop 5. You're always better off using TIFF when going to other programs.
